You need to be between 0-16 years to use CAHMS. You need to speak to your GP first before calling CAHMS. To make a referrals you need to call the  referral and triage service called CAHMS Connect (1300 222 647).

They work through the Women's and Children's Hospital and support people who have severe and/or complex mental health needs all over South Australia.

You need to be between 16-25 years old to use Emerge. To use Emerge you can either get a referral from a GP with a Mental Health Treatment Plan or a family member or friend or someone from school can complete community referral.

Psychologists Rebecca Horsnell and Jonathon Wirth support people who experience psychosis. Fleurieu psychology is a psychological practice serving the people of the Fleurieu peninsula and Southern Adelaide.

There is a 1 year wait time to get a session with a psychologist.

The cost of a session is $190 OR $61.75/$60.45 if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan. They bulk bill (pay the full fee) if you have a concession card.

Psychologists Lydia Dean and Chloe Roesler support people who experience psychosis.The wait time to see a psychologist varies. They have a cancellation waitlist if another person cancels and there is a free appointment for you to take.

People who are between 5- 25  years old can use Kids Helpline.

Kids Helpline is Australia’s only free (even from a mobile), private 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25

Anyone who is over 16 years old can get support from Links to Wellbeing. You will need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP to make a referral but the referral can be made by anyone.

Psychological therapies: This is for people who are experiencing lots of stress in their life or are showing signs of not coping. Therapists will support them to develop skills to manage symptoms that impact their wellbeing.

The wait time for a session at Links to will being is 6 months (the wait time group programs may be shorter)

You need to contact your nearest service to discuss whether you are able to access support and the best way to access support. To use Neami you can make a referral yourself or a family member, carer, mental health professionals or other healthcare providers can make a referral for you.
